Cat & Matt - A Colourful Engagement
What could be more enchanting than two people in love, laughing and gazing into each other’s eyes against the gorgeous light of dusk? Let’s face it, not much really! Cat and Matt’s engagement photo session at Old Petrie Town is the perfect combination of an amazing sunset, pops of bright colour from Cat’s floral bouquet and flower crown, fun party poppers, colourful confetti and most importantly, the lovebirds’ oh-so-happy grins. These images cannot help but make you say “awww” and are so eye-catching it’s not even funny. I love the location this couple chose - it provided the best backdrops and the final shot of Cat and Matt dancing under the rotunda remind me of my favourite movie, 'The Sound Of Music'. So über romantic…
Not only do this couple look completely adorable together, they also share a passion for cheese, salami and olives. YES! Scroll down after the images to read about their love story, which is guaranteed to put a smile on your face...
Thank you so very much to the incredibly talented Tina and Doruk from Lovelenscapes Photography for these stunning photos (Tina also arranged all those exquisite flowers…talk about skilled) and a huge thank you to Cat and Matt for letting me share your story. I wish you all the best for your wedding and cannot wait to see the pictures. Abby xx

Cat & Matt's Story...
How did you and Matt originally meet?
Matt and I met online with eHarmony. He was the first person I had met online and he blew me away.
How and when did you become a couple?
We hit it off right away after a nervous but wonderful first date. After a couple of months, we knew we were in it for the long haul.
Can you tell us about the proposal?
Matt proposed during one of our favourite pastimes; a picnic in the Botanical Gardens at Mt Coot-tha. Matt strategically packed the picnic basket to keep the proposal a complete surprise... which it was. I blubbered like a baby and couldn't believe how lucky I was that it gets to be the two of us forever. To have also found someone who I know enjoys cheese, salami and olives as much as me is perfection!
Your photos are just beautiful. Was there a special reason you chose to do the shoot at Old Petrie Town?
We adored the variety of beautiful rustic photo opportunities at Old Petrie Town. We were also both very nervous about being photographed; and really enjoyed the privacy that was offered in this area.
When will you be getting married and where?
We are getting married on the 20th of October 2017 at The Landing at Dockside.
A huge, huge thank you to Cat and Matt for sharing your beautiful story and photos with us, and to Tina and Doruk from Lovelenscapes Photography for these magnificent images!
